The problem in my brother Sam is dead is that Tim has to deal with the problem of being a patriot like Sam or a Tory like his father. This is a similar problem in the real world because many country's in the world are fight against there own country. Some similarities and differences of the real world and the book is that many people side with the one but sometimes the family is spilt from some people on this side and another on the other. Tim seems to handle the problem well by trying to help Sam but still be a loyalist in the tavern and redding. Tim has no fighting experience but try's to save Sam without any. If I were Sam I would have done the exact same thing as Sam. I wish that Sam would have realized that he would not have saved Sam because they moved him from the original jail. I am like Tim because I would have helped my friends but I wouldn't have keep my opinions a secret because there are no redcoats around. Also Sam should have stayed at his post no matter what unless someone was attacked. Also Tim and Sam are a little the same but tim would not have been more of a patriot or would not care unless Sam was a patriot.
