Year-round schooling is a bad idea because kids can't go on vacation. Kids shouldn't go to year round school because family's can't go on vacation to go to a different place and have fun. The kids at year round school get really tired from and get really distracted in school because they never get a chance to go away. Also they won't have a chance to see relatives because they never go see relatives.and some relatives don't live close. Students need parent time, and they need time to themselves," said Whiting, who has a son at McKinley Technology High School in Eckington. "The administration needs to make sure the schools are doing what they're supposed to be doing from August to June"(Haynes) This shows that kids need time with there parents and some alone time. Also, many families go on summer vacations, so year-round school would stop them from enjoying time with family(Sines).  This proves that year round school will stop family's from seeing other family members. Right now [July 2006], about 50 million children are on summer vacation across the United States. Many are discovering new interests at summer camp, playing ball at the Y, or traveling with Mom and Dad. (Hess) This shows that kids need some time to play with friends or go somewhere else. This proves that year round schooling is a bad idea because they never get any free time
