When I read story's I am often drawn into books with some action with main character about my age and something's with caring. I like it because I have a brother and I like to feel what the character feels if its his sorrow or his happiness. In the book Eldest by Christopher Paolini Eragon shows compassion and every moment he feels that's why I read this book and I hope you do to.

In the begging of the story Eragon was lying on the floor of du faturn the dwarf and Varden Capitol. He had a dream to find togria ikonoko a man in his dream telling him what needs to happen. He most chose a new leader for the Varden because there old leader ajihad died in a urgal ambush and to his friends murtagh and the twins. He asked Eragon to take a oath "you must promise me something: promise that you... won’t let the Varden fall into chaos. They are the only hope for resisting the Empire.... They must be kept strong. You must promise me.” this is eragons promise to protect the varden.He meets with the council of elders and they appoint ajihad daughter nausua. When she is appointed Eragon and his friends are on a mission to get to ellesmare. "We should prepare to leave Farthen Dûr. The council will be thirsty for revenge. The sooner we’re out of their reach, the better." Saphira said because they gave her the best out of all the council members in gifts. Then Eragon gets angry at Saphira for chasing away a girl. On the other side of the country Roran eragons cousin is in carvahall has problems of his own. The government is in town because Eragon has born there and they want to kill anyone who is relative or friend. Roran is ready for a fight he has rallied up his friends Horst,Albriech Baldor, his housing mates. He was supposed to go to thersiford for a job to marry his crush Katrina.

In the middle of eldest Eragon is on his way to ellsmére riding on a pontoon boats with ayra, Saphira,Orik and some other dwarves named. When they got to Tarnag they are delayed by Thorv a guard of Tarnag asking what are there business in Tarnag. Then Orik throws a ring on the ground that shows that they have enemies and welcomes him. They are invited by the chief Undin to stay and eat with him and it was delicious "I wonder how they managed to cook something so large." "Very slowly", commented Saphira, nibbling on her Nagra. This Then Eragon travels to cedilli were there a pictures of epic battles and he finds gannel sparring with three little dwarves. Then we walks with him taking about there history. When they move on they head on the pontoons to travel to ellsmére. Suddenly he misses his brother and wonders how he is doing. Roran was grappling with some difficult problem. Still, Roran seemed well enough, if a bit drawn, which comforted Eragon. This shows Eragon's caring for his cousin because he is so far away from his brother. When Eragon gets to Ceris a elf city and is welcomed by the elfs and learned something's about ayra his companion and a elf. When Roran is hiding he finds the razac a Beetle like creatures burning a farm Roran is going to fight them for carvahall and so is the town. When the razac and the army comes to town and is fighting for there lives. They drive them out and they cut down trees and created a barracked to keep them save but they decided to keep the women and children safe when his fiancé Katrina. But the razac attacked at night and Sloan the butcher betrayed caravhall and took his daughter Katrina. As soon as the leave they make plans to leave for Surda to join the Varden. They destroy the barracked and march off to the spine full of wolfs and bears in winter.

In the end of the story Eragon reaches ellesmare a huge city filled with traders and elfs. They are greeted by queen izlander and another rider and his dragon and turns out the queen is Arya's mother. When the training begins eragons masters are Oromis and his dragon Eragon is tested many times by Oromis to fight but his gigantic scar from the battle at the dwarf Capitol. Oromis makes him fight and training in any condition and Saphira trains with his dragon. One day when Eragon was training Oromis's dragons came back with out Saphira Eragon becomes worried and go's looking for her. He finds her on a mountain and climbs it and when Eragon gets there Saphira tells them the story this mountain is where the dragons slep and the elves climbed it and killed them all and the eggs. Saphira asked Eragon?... Thank you for coming. I know what you risked with your back. He patted her on the shoulder. Are we one again? This shows Saphira care for Eragon. Then they have a blood-oath celebration where everyone is supposed to give something to the queen and the elders and Eragon gives them a poem."In the kingdom by the sea,In the mountains mantled blue, On frigid winter’s final day
Was born a man with but one task:
To kill the foe in Durza, In the land of shadows.
Nurtured by the kind and wise Under oaks as old as time,

This is Eragon's poem about his enemy Durza he fought in the dwarf city and Saphira brings a stone carved by her flames and a gift for him a dance then he faints at the end of the ceremony. When he wakes up Saphira told him to look in the mirror and he finds himself a half human half elve. Then he talks to Arya about his feelings for her but she rejects him. The next days is the same training but he plans to leave to Surda to help the Varden destroy the empire. When he leaves he comes with Orik and he flys on Saphira and reached the burning plains where there are a Varden base camp where they are planning for an attack the Capitol thanks to the help of hoghather the dwarf king and oriks father. From far away Roran is at the it's of terim where there are a port of the the ocean and asked a rich man to give him a ride to Surda on a ship. Then he remembers who roran is and tells him the story of Eragon and what he would do to help him get to Surda. When they get part of the country and is almost attacked by the razac. When the leave on the ship the army has been looking for them but they attacked them and left and had a successful journey he walked and found a battle and started to fight for the Varden. In Eragon's turn he found out the urgals the warriors like weirded looking creatures. It turns out it was a set up and they started battling then out of know where a dragon comes out and comes to Eragon. The rider was murtagh eragons friend it turns out the twins tricked the Varden into think they where dead and him the the king. Then murtagh swore oath to the king and is on his side know and has a dragon and asked Eragon to join him. But he refuses and is told that they are related and they where brothers. And out of the corner of his eye he saw his cousin fighting the twins. Murtagh leaves when the twins where killed and walked to his cousin. He told him of what had happened and that Katrina got taken. Eragon shows him that Katrina is alive and he will help him.
